What this is

freecompute.org is a public board for developer-tool sponsors and a free compute endpoint for developers. Sponsors bid, in whole US dollars, to sit at the top of a category. The #1 listing is the default export the harness plugs. The money buys NVIDIA DGX Sparks — and, as a bit, Jensen Huang another leather jacket.

The parallels

• The board is package.json. #1 is the default export.
• The harness is CI, except it grades agents instead of tests.
• Vectors are the index. Flags are the deploy. Queues are cron.
• Tweet-for-compute is student-pack / star-for-credits, with followers as the weight.
• Bids are outbid.lol, pointed at the actual stack.
• Stripe is the checkout. No invoices, no net-30.

Ranking

• All-time spend is the board. Bids do not expire.
• New listings are whole dollars, $100 minimum, $999,999 maximum.
• Taking #1 costs at least $1 more than the current #1.
• Already listed? Submit the same URL. You pay only the difference, at least $1 above your current total.
• Equal amounts keep their original order. Older wins the tie.
• Tracking query strings are stripped. Rank is per category.

Free compute

Post a public tweet that includes freecompute.org. Submit your email and the tweet URL. We record one access request per email and tweet, then deliver the API key by email when the compute system is online. The endpoint is OpenAI-compatible. Limits start at 30K TPM and scale with verified followers, up to 150K TPM. We meter every request and lower grants slowly as the cluster fills. Ten requests per minute, one in flight, 32K input, 4K output. The two Sparks stay the global cap — follower count does not lift it.

Payments

Checkout is Stripe. A completed payment is what claims the rank. Payments are not refundable. Until Stripe keys are configured, the board can settle demo bids locally so the mechanics can be tested.
